Some countries require a power of attorney to be signed by the applicant, but the current address for service can typically be retained.
Reminders:
Trademark annuity reminders are sent 1, 3 and 6 months before the trademark renewal deadline.
Lead time:
Trademark annuities should be processed at least 14 days before the trademark renewal deadline. However, for some countries, new users should account for the time required to arrange signature of a Power of Attorney.
Late payments:
Late payment of trademark annuities will need to be processed manually by us, at an additional cost. Most countries permit lapsed trademark renewals to be paid during a 6 month grace period. However, late payment penalties will apply.
