Reminders:
Renewal reminders are sent 1, 3 and 6 months before the renewal deadline. Monthly reminders are sent during the grace-period.
Lead time:
Typically, renewals should be paid 8 days before the deadline. South African renewals may be paid 2 days before the deadline.
Late payments:
Late payment of patent annuities are processed manually by us, at an additional cost. Most countries permit lapsed patent renewals to be paid during a 6 month grace period. However, late payment penalties will apply.
